D.K's Kadabra Now loved as Abby

This all started on September 7, 2004 when Grey's Nautilus and D.K.'s Prime Time had a litter of greyhounds. Kadabra was the second of a litter of eight to be born. She has four sisters and three brothers. I am really sure where she was born, I am assuming Kansas, as that is on her Certificate of Registration and she raced there. She only raced ten races, two of which she won. I guess racing just wasn't her thing, and I could not be happier :) I am not sure when SEGA actually got her but I do know she was at the kennel for a while until this "angel" come to foster her named Denise. About a month after she had been with Denise we called to make an appointment to meet her. She was so beautiful and so sweet. The whole family fell in love with her but we wanted to meet her a couple of times to make sure she was "the one" I could not get my mind off her. On Sunday July 13, 2008 I called Denise to see if we could come back over and even though it was raining and storming, off we went, and I knew in my heart I could not come back home again without her. Luckily I did not have to. She is such a dream, she follows me everywhere I go, room to room, and Rocky says she cries when I leave with the kids. We have named her Abby even though I still call her Kadabra sometimes, I think she knows both. This is my first greyhound and it has taken a little while to learn all the unique qualities about them, it has been fun. I cannot tell you how many hours I have pecked away at this computer looking up anything from what ear tattoo numbers mean to how to remove the blackheads they get on their tummy at the turnouts. It has been called "cult" by alot of people and I am starting to believe it.

LOL, I'm hardly an angel! :-p I could not be happier with you guys adopting her- I swear if we had kept her any longer we probably would have kept her:-)
I want you to post about the bloodhound you donated to the police force, I think that is a great story!
